Silly me...

I thought I lived in Alaska, not Florida.

Ohhhhhhh how I hate this weather. Most places here - including homes - aren't equipped with any sort of cooling apparatus, let alone actual air conditioning. Therefore, short of driving your car around (at $4.03+ a gallon) with the A/C blasting, there's really no way to escape it. You just suffer.

That's probably why I get so defensive when people poke fun at me for thinking that 89 degrees is too hot. Most of the people who say that, I've noticed, live in areas where air conditioning is at least common, if not ever-present. They totally take for granted the fact that they can get away from it anytime they like. (Perhaps I'm guilty of the same when it comes to extreme cold?)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to head into Aidan's room - again - to try to convince him that it IS possible to sleep when it's 75 degrees in the bedroom. Thankfully he's still young enough that he doesn't realize that Mom is still awake and cranky from the heat, too.

Yikes! We didn't use it past the lower 48, but we had A/C in both vehicles when we were up there. Hopefully you get some relief soon!

Whoa. That is warm for you! We're about 10 degrees higher. And I AM in Florida!

This florida gal will agree, that is a bit hot. Our heat index is 103, but yeah everything is air-conditioned. Although, it never gets below 75 in the house. Hopefully my baby will be okay with that! LOL!

We don't have AC, and sleep on the 3rd floor, LOL. HOT! We employ a lot of fans.

Oh wow! Close to 100 is normal for us here in the midwest but we have air conditioning. And sadly the air is on when we get in the mid 70's. That stinks, I hope it lets up soon - being hot is no fun!!!

I have air in my apartment and at work (not in the van though, the heat won't turn off in there) and I still think 89 is too hot. I like it when it's in the 70's.

Hey, it's all about what youa re used to. We are having 95-100 degree weather with no AC and I'm DIEING, but those who grew up here think it's normal. And I complain when we get -20 in the winter but that's probably nothing to you :) I hope you can stay cool and comfortable. Cool wash clothes on the back of the neck = heaven!
